International Students (I-20s)

Thank you for your interest in the schools of the San Francisco Archdiocese. If you wish to enroll a student from outside the United States in one of our schools, the student must first be admitted to a school. Next, the student will need to obtain their F-1 (student) visa.

One of the documents the student will need to provide to the U.S. Embassy to obtain their visa will be an I-20 document. This is a form that tells the U.S. government that

(1) the international applicant is or expects to be a "bona fide" student;
(2) the applicant meets our schools' admissions requirements;
(3) the applicant will pursue a full course of study;
(4) the applicant's parents or guardian proved to us that there will be sufficient money for them to study and live in the U.S. without working illegally or suffering from poverty.

This form, when presented with an F1-type visa, will allow an international student to enter the U.S. and travel outside the U.S. while they are enrolled full-time in an academic program in a SEVIS-approved school.
Administrators: Please inform the Department of Catholic Schools when/if an international student:
  • arrives in the U.S. initially, preferably before they begin classes
  • does not arrive after an I-20 has been issued
  • moves and has a new mailing address or other contact information
  • drops below full-time attendance or otherwise does not follow his or her academic program satisfactorily
  • is about to graduate
  • is transferring to a new school
  • has left the country for longer than 2 months
  • requires an extension to their program to successfully complete it.

Please note that there are documents required in addition to the documents listed here. These are listed in the Instructions. Omission of any required document will result in a delay in processing your I-20 application. Please make sure to read the Instructions carefully, and check that all requested documents are present and complete before sending to the Department of Catholic Schools.

외국인 유학생 (I-20s)

샌프란시스코 대교구 내의 가톨릭 학교에 관심을 갖아 주심에 감사드립니다. 막약 외국 학생으로 교구 관할 학교에 등록을 원하시면 그 학생은 먼저 그가 지원한 학교의 입학허가 후, 유학 비자 F-1 를 발급 받도록 해야 합니다.

미국 대사관에서 유학 비자 F-1 를 받기위한 1-20 준비-사항은-아래와 같습니다

(1) 외국 유학생 지원자는 진솔한 학생이거나 그에 준해야 함

(2) 학교 입학 사정 허가 기준에 합당해야 함

(3) 정규 과정을 수행해야 함

(4)  지원자의 부모나 보호자 (후견인) 는 학생이 미국에서 불법 노동이나 어려움에 시달리지 않고 학업에만 전념할수 있는 충분한 재정이 증명 되어야 함.

I-20s 는-유학생-비자  F-1 를 지참할 경우, 유학이 허가 된 학교내의 정규 학생으로 재학할 시 에만 미국 입국과 외국 여행을 허가한다.

교무담당자: 외국 유학생일 경우 교구 관할 가톨릭 학교 담당부서에 알려야 할 사항:

  • 미국에 도착한 즉시, 학기 시작전
  • I-20 가 발급된 후에도 도착하지 않았을 경우
  • 이사로 인한 새 주소 혹은 다른 연락처를 갖게될 때
  • 정규 출석시간이 못 미치거나 교과 과정을 따라가지 못할 경우
  • 졸업할 즈음
  • 2 달 이상 외국에 나가 있는경우
  • 교과 과정을 완전히 이수하기위해 연장될 경우

感謝你對三藩市總教區屬下學校的愛護和支持。美國國外學生若要在我們其中一間學校註冊入讀，首先要得到學校的錄取；其後要取得他們的F-1（學生）簽證。

 

學生要取得簽證，其中一項要向美國領事館提交的文件是I-20文件。

這表格是向美國政府說明：

 

(1)這國外申請者是真正的學生；

(2)申請者符合我們學校的入學要求；

(3)申請者將選讀一個整全的課程；

(4)申請者的父母或監護人向我們證明有足夠的經濟能力支持學生在美國讀書及

   住宿，不用非法工作和受財缺之困。

 

當國際學生註冊入讀一間SEVIS(學生及交換訪客資料系統)認可的學校的全日制

課程後，出示這表格，連同F-1學生簽證，便可進出美國。

 

行政人員：若國際學生有下列情況，請知會天主教學校部：

  • 學生一抵達美國，最好在開課前
  • 在I-20發出後未抵達
  • 搬遷和有新的郵寄地址或其他的聯絡資料
  • 低於所要求的出席率或學業成績未趕上
  • 將要畢業
  • 轉讀新學校
  • 已離開美國超過2個月
  • 需要延長學習期限
